Humanising Cartoon

I've seen quite a few art which people depict animals and non-human cartoon characters as humans, so I did a simple coloured sketch on Backyardigans' Masked Retriever.

In that episode, Librarian Uniqua's secret identity as the Masked Retriever is to get back the overdue books if people still don't return them. I find that the black clothing and hat for the masked retriever is classy and chic, so I decided to try drawing them as a human.

I like Backyardigans for its exploration of different genres and culture in each episode. I also like how the songs (usually 4) follow the genre of the story too, for example medieval. The animation is smooth and realistic as they move around like humans in real life. I also love the lighting, these reasons are what inspired me to study digital animation and lighting.
