Hello again!

So far, I was thinking of how to add the details to my environment, which is inspired by food. What I have is bread, fishball and mushroom for the buildings in the scene. I searched for references of bread loaf.

That's when I realised something. If the bread is orange, fishball is white, and the mushroom is brown; then all the warm colours are clustered on one area of the image. Also, the sky and the river are cool colours. I found this a bit plain.

I decided to block the basic colours to get the mood and to have more variety of colours rather than just blues and browns.

Here it is:

For now it still does not have much details yet. Also, the colours are meant to be messy because it's just to roughly gauge the colour palette, like what kind of feel you get from putting all these colours together in a certain way.

Meanwhile, I'm still adding more details to populate the scenery. See you in the next post!
